Description:
The second job I did with AGENC, and the first while being hired for them. While most of the initial design direction was locked in, I created over 100 pieces of individual signage and menus and worked with local printers and fabricators in order to produce the end product.
The challenge that I faced was that when I got brought onto the project, was that it was already behind. In order to make the deadline, I had to completely re-do the established organizational system, and streamline it by adding a spreadsheet grid and file naming convention that allows for synchronicity across all phases including conceptualization, design, production, and delivery/setup.

Description:
I was approached by Honda while working at Beyond Image Graphics, to take a simple concept of a “Minnie Van” and actualize it using our printers and materials.
We opted that instead of printing the polka dots and hassle with aligning them over the seams in the car, to dye cut the polka dots separately from the pink vinyl and apply them after the pink. Since there was no continuity needed like words or images, it worked perfect and came out great.

Description:
Painstakingly designed this complicated mirrored set. The challenges included having to design the initial shape of the set, then work out how to apply the honeycomb shapes so they align to all angles while simultaneously trying to match the forced perspective of the back panel. Ended up designing only two sides, but mirrored them at a diagonal angle.
In order to hide any seams within the set and to also to keep the fabrication simple, we opted to engrave most honeycomb shapes onto 4’x'8’ Mirrored Plexi panels. This allowed us to put the seam into the engraved part and hide any seams with the set.

Description:
I actually created two versions of this game board, one that was applied onto several hundred 2’x2’ floor tiles to be shipped to New Orleans, and another one(pictured) for Los Angeles’ Marriott which was applied to 4’x8’ High Gloss Melamine Panels that were attached to Stage Platforms. Because of space requirements in the venue, I had to adapt the initial game board to a rectangular shape.
In addition to the overall design of the game board, I also supervised the application and construction of both game boards, and had a team of vinyl applicators that I managed.

Description:
Done for AGENC when I was still freelance, this is the project that got them to hire me. When I came onto this project, many were worried about both the timeline and file needs.
The challenge I faced was that I needed to re-do many low resolution graphics, create print files, and organize all those files into a spreadsheet so we could spread the work amongst several print and fabrication vendors in the Los Angeles area. We ended up with over 500 individual graphics at various sizes.

Description:
So this was a job I could definitely get behind since it had so much to do with animals and a good cause.
I helped mock up the initial concepts of the school bus, and after measuring the bus we had to adapt those concepts to a somewhat complicated wrap system where instead of printing the design on single sheets and applying them, we layered the design elements separately in order to maintain alignment around all of the school bus’s facets.

Description:
Probably one of my favorite jobs, and definitely a lot of fun, but I was tasked to design two oversized sliding puzzle for MTV’s Champs vs. Pros TV show, and fabricate them using waterproof materials, while remaining within budget.
Challenges faced were how to get the inset sliding mechanisms of the pieces, allowing them to slide easily and without much resistance, but still stay secure in the box and not fall out.
Solved this by using a CNC Machine to cut out the pieces and sandwich them together as separate layers with unique shapes to allow for the pieces to connect and slide.

One of the first Jobs that I did while working with Beyond Image Graphics, it required me to design a Marijuana Leaf Disco Ball.
The challenges that I faced were how we were going to produce a disco ball effect on such a complicated shape such as a pot leaf. I solved this by opting to engrave squares into a sheet of mirror plexi with a CNC machine, then cut out the shape of the pot leaf out of that sheet. With the outsides, we used mirror square fabric, and applied it accordingly.
